The brief here was for a cosy cottage feel, that would transform the living room of this newbuild suburban house into a calm and characterful retreat from busy daily life.
We choose dark blue walls for a cocooning feel (as this house already had a lighter feeling sitting room for daytime), and mixed old and new pieces so that this room feel unique & truly told a story. Lush plants and soft blush accessories really add to the inviting feel of the room, and mixing & matching small-scale patterns adds layers of depth as well as interest.
