This is the playspace and imaginarium of 3 lovely children, and so an abundance of organisational storage was needed, as well as zones for reading, drawing, crafting & floorspace to play.

Painting the lower portion of the wall helped to visually scale up the smaller pieces of children’s furniture in the room, and pastel toys that were fun, educational and aesthetically pleasing helped to make the room feel cohesive. Different small-scale patterns in the cushions and textures (in the form of the woven lampshade as well as the sheepskin throw, for example) added tactility as well as further layers of interest to the room. Lastly, budget-friendly Ikea Trofast storage provided much-needed storage trays and buckets, which were all labelled with beautiful laser-cut discs.
