My clients really needed help with configuration and scale here, to make the most of their space, as well as adding adding a soothing & cohesive colour scheme complemented by subtle, timeless pattern interplay.

This room already had gorgeous characterful period features, but the fireplace surround was too high to accommodate the TV above (where my clients really wanted it to be placed), meaning it was blocking the Edinburgh Press and throwing the room off-balance. I suggested ideas that allowed their joiner to shorten the lovely mantel surround they already had, meaning that they could keep this, save money AND have the TV in their desired position. Then I pulled together the whole scheme for the room, in consultation with my clients, and returned to style it on photo shoot day, as you see here. Happy clients, happy designer!
